Le Sirenuse is an 18th century palazzo which isset in the heart of the Amalfi drive, this charming hotel, overlooking the bay of Positano, has furnished with all comforts ofa luxury hotel, while maintaining the atmosphere of a private home. The architecture is Moorish baroque, typical of the area, with white washed walls, arched and vaulted ceilings and hand made tiles on the floors. Old paintings and prints are hanging on the walls and antiques and period furniture are decorating the many living rooms and all the rooms. Fifty years on, the hotel has sixty-three rooms with all the comforts of a five star luxury hotel without losing the atmosphere of a family home. Franco Sersale lived abroad formany years but returned to Positano in 1990 and commenced a major refurbishment project. He recreated the pool terrace and Ristorante La Sponda, and then room by room, completed Le Sirenuse as it is known today.
