This morning you will discover the secretsof cheese-making as part of the ancient traditions of Apulia. Meet a local cheese artisan at his farm,where he will demonstrate the art of making fresh burrata and will let you trytwisting a knot of mozzarella or two! You will enter also the room where thefarmer ages the mozzarella over several days to become scamorza and, of course,you will be able to sample the selection. Next you will go in search ofApulia’s famous Trulli houses. These cone shaped dwellings are unique to theregion and you can find a concentration of over 1,000 of these houses in theUNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello. Your expert guide will bring thehistory of this picturesque town to life.
