This tour takes you through two museumswhich show the differences between a traditional Venetian noble residence andthe living space of a member of the Catholic hierarchy. The first shows how theVenetian noble Family, the Querini Stampalias, lived with the originalfurnishings and painting dating back to the eighteenth century. The secondshows the living space of Giovanni Germani, Patriarch of Aquileia, who modelledhis home in the Ancient Roman style and was decorated by Mannerist artist whocame from Pope ruled Rome. He created the most precious antiquities collectionto be found in Venice during the late 1500s and which later would become thecore of the Archaeological Museum.
