A real treat is in storefor food lovers with this gourmet walking tour, as you will get to sample foodin a number of venues, rather than just sitting down in one restaurant. Startwith the famous local aperitvo, the ‘spritz’ to soak up the atmosphere in themain piazza, before moving on to the first stop, for a ‘primo’ (first course).This will be in one of our favourite local trattorias, in the back streets ofthe medieval part of town and you will get to taste risotto, bigoli, Valeggiotortellini or dumplings. The second course will be some ‘street food’ by thebanks of the River Adige, a slice of pizza or polenta with stewed beef cookedin Amarone wine or a selection of cotechino, local salami, ham and cheese. Moveon for a dessert of the crispy puffs ‘sfogliatine di Villafranca’, or asemifreddo in a traditional gelateria or with a fabulous tiramisu, which thechef assures us is the best in the world! At the end of the tour we will takeyou to the best expresso coffee place in town.
